Tribhuvan Airport to Resume Operation for 21 hours
Kathmandu: Nepal’s the only one international airport -Tribhuvan airport- is to resume its daily flight operations for 21 hours with effect from July 1, 2019.
The airport was closed in the night time since April 1, 2019. The airport renovation is being done after 45 years. The airport will resume its operations after the renovation is completed by June 30, 2019.
The renovation will be resumed for seven hours after closing the airport from September 1, 2019, to December 31, 2019. According to airport officials, at least 70 flights daily, are suspended after the renovation was initiated by closing the airport for 10 hours.
The renovated airport will be operative for the next 20 years. Over 400 domestic and international planes are taking off and landing from this airport daily.
