Emergency Security Plan Exercised at Kathmandu Airport
Kathmandu: Security and Civil Aviation authorities jointly exercised an emergency plan named “Bomb Alert 5 to Aircraft” at Nepal’s only international airport -Tribhuvan Airport in Kathmandu Friday.
According to International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAA) and Kathmandu Airport officials, the emergency plan was formally exercised to strengthen the security and emergency coordination among the concerned authorities for air security, medical aid and rescue operation during any acute emergency concerned with bomb threat to any aircraft at the airport.
