Karnali government to declare 101 tourist destinations

Kathmandu: Karnali provincial government is preparing to declare 101 tourist destinations from 10 districts of Karnali.

According to Karnali Provincial Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, all possible tourist destinations will be identified to declare them as final tourist destinations on the recommendations of the local concerned stakeholders and elected members of the provincial assembly.

The information officer Sher Bahadur Rokaya said that although the ministry has finalized all 101 destinations, the provincial government cabinet has yet to decide on this matter.  The government’s decision might come by the end of the current fiscal year, added Rokaya.

The central federal government has already selected 17 tourist destinations for the Karnali region.

The total number of destinations will be 101 after combining the Karnali government’s selected 84 destinations and 17 destinations selected by the central government.
