Nepal has seen a sudden growth of international tourist’s arrivals from Thailand, China, and Germany in the last six months of the year 2019 as compared to the same period in 2018.
According to a press statement of Nepal Tourism Board, 85,318 Chinese visited Nepal in the first half of the year 2019, thereby contributing to a 19.53% increment.
Likewise, visitors from Thailand and Germany showed growth of tourist arrival by 38.15% and 12.85% respectively.
The tourist arrival from USA increased by 10%, from SAARC by 10.4%, from South Korea by 5.34% and from Japan by 17.9 % and from India by 7.36% and from Australia by 4.15%, respectively thereby contributing to a total growth of 12.6% tourist arrival in Nepal in the last six months.
The statement further said that 490,534 tourists came by air, and 94,997 tourists came overland.
