Tourism Investment Summit to be held in February 2020
The Secretariat for a national campaign- ‘Nepal Visit Year 2020’- is mulling over holding a Tourism Investment Summit by February 2020 to bolster the tourism sector in Nepal.
According to Suraj Vaidya, the coordinator for Visit Nepal 2020, the date for the summit has not yet been fixed. However, the summit will be aimed at seeing the on-the-spot signing of mutual agreements between the concerned investing parties, agreeing to invest in the tourism sector of Nepal.
“Investors from the Middle East, China, Europe, and India have shown interest to participate in the summit. The Middle East has shown willingness to invest in Nepal’s tourism,” said Vaidya.
The summit will be held in association with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and International Finance Corporation.
The Summit will also focus on developing Janaki temple of Province 2 as a spiritual tourist destination and reforming Tribhuvan International airport.
