Panch Pokhari Trail Half Marathon to be organized on 15 August 2019
Kathmandu: Panchpokhari Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchowk is going to organize 3rd Panch Pokhari Trail Half Marathon-2019 on 15 August 2019.
At a press conference held in Kathmandu Wednesday, Tashi Sherpa the chairman of Panchapokhari Rural Municipality said that the half marathon -2019 is aimed at exposing the Panchokhari region to the international community and promoting tourism in the wake of Nepal visit year 2020.
A total of 155 participants representing Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, and individuals have registered their names for the scheduled marathon said the press statement.
Former Minister for law Sher Bahadur Tamang has also announced himself to be one of the participants in the said marathon.Separate marathon for men and women will be held for which cash and certificate will be awarded to the winners of the marathon.
The first cash prize is Rs 50,000, second Rs 30,000, third 20,000, fourth 10,000 and fifth Rs 5000 whereas the marathon participants from Sindhupalchowk will be awarded with separate cash prize of Rs 15000 for first, Rs 10,000 for second, Rs 5000 for the third winner.
