Kathmandu: Yogesh Bhattrai has been sworn in as a new Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Wednesday.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new Minister Bhattrai at a ceremonial function held at the residence of the president.
Present on the oath-taking ceremony were Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, and Speaker of the House Krishna Bahadur Mahara.
Bhattrai succeeds his predecessor Rabindra Adhikari who was killed in a helicopter crash last February.
Ministers Bhattrai is likely to assume his office on Wednesday evening.
