Swiss lady Maria felicitated for accomplishing The Great Himalaya Trail in Nepal

Kathmandu: Swiss lady-Maria Theresia Zwyssig , who recently completed 1700 km long trail of The Great Himalaya was felicitated in a press meet organized in Kathmandu Saturday.
Speaking during the press meet Maria said that it took her 89 days to accomplish the 1711 km Great Himalaya trail with the help of her guide Sanjib Gurung.
“I started my journey in front of my home door in a cycle and took one year to reach Kathmandu to travel through15000 km long route by bicycle and was a life teaching experience for me,” said Maria.
Maria also disclosed that she was lucky to fulfill her dreams of being born in Switzerland, whereas people born in Jumla couldn’t pursue their sweet dreams due to unavoidable circumstances.
“We are very happy to get Maria Theresia Zwyssig, whose trekking through the Great Himalaya trails will be supportive of the upcoming event of the visit year 2020. This will also deliver a message to the world that Maria trekked through this great Himalaya trail in complete safety,” said Dawa Lama Tamang, the Managing Director of Traveltimes Treks Private limited that organized the entire trail trekking for Maria.
