The land of Gods, Goddess, bountiful natural beauty,  Everest, mountains, glaciers, rivers, world heritages, and pristine cultures symbolically depict Nepal as the land no less than that of paradise in the world. There are maximum possibilities for tourism development in Nepal provided everything goes well.

Nepal’s government has declared a national campaign for the visit year 2020. At least 2 million tourists should be made to visit Nepal within the year 2020. The major 30 tourist destinations are given below.
1.   Rara Lake

Rara Lake is one of the best places to visit during the visit year 2020, although the roads are bumpy from Surkhet. But worry not you can take a flight to Talcha airport and walk up to Rara Lake in three hours. There are horses to ferry you from Talcha airports too. Sisne and Kanirowa peaks can be seen from this lake spot. It very cold in the Rara region. So one must take woolen clothes while visiting this lake which is under Rara National Park in the Mugu district of Nepal.

Phoksundo Lake is located in Dolpa district under the Phoksundo National Park and is also the hub for 196 species of birds, 32 species of mammals and 407 species of herbal plants.
3.       Tilicho Lake

Tilicho Lake is elevated to 4,920 m and is situated in Manang district, which is the source of Marsyangdi River. Thorang Pass, Muktinath temple and Jomson are few of the spectacular places to visit in the visit year 2020.

Gosaikunda as high as 14000 ft high is a holy lake among many other lakes in Rasuwa district. A religious fair takes place here annually where both Hindus and Shaman (Buddhists) also worship lord Shiva and dance to the tunes of Damru ( a double-sided drum) on the occasion of Janai Poornima festival, which was previously used by lord Shiva.

10 Pokhara

Glimpses of Manaslu, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri can also be seen from here. The white monastery, Devi’s fall, Mahendra cave, Fewa lake, Rupa lake, Begnas lake are famous sights to visit.

12 Badmimalika
Badmimalika situated in Bajura district is very attractive due to its culture and topography. It can be reached from Martadi. The trail passes through Dadeldhura, Dipayal, and Sanfebagar.
13 Khokana
Situated only 8 km far away from Jawalakhel, the village is famous for its ancient civilization and various religious and cultural fairs. Vestiges of Malla dynasty can be discovered here which is far from the main hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city.
14. Namobuddha
Located in Kabreplanchowk district, Namobuddha Monastery is surrounded by Panauti, Banepa, Dhulikhel, Bhakundebensi, Panchakhal, and snowcapped peaks.
15. Swargadwari
Considered as the gateway to heaven by Hindu devotees is situated in Pyuthan district in mid-western Nepal. This sacred site of this place is believed to the spot from where Udhisthir of Mahabharat had gone to heaven. This is one of the spiritual destinations. A glimpse of mountains can also be seen from here.
16. Koshi Tappu Wildlife
Located in the eastern part of Nepal, Koshi Tappu Wildlife is a perfect place for bird watching especially during January and February. Some of the species of birds found here are not found anywhere in the world.
17. Palpa
114 years old queen’s palace known as Ranimahal can be seen here. Palpa is also popular as the queen of the hills. Many hills and the White Mountains can be seen from Palpa.
18. Kakani
The very serene place was popular for strawberry and rock climbing. Glimpses of peaks such as Ganesh, Gaurishankar, Manaslu, Choba, Bhamare, Hiunchuli and Annapurna can be seen from Kakani. It’s very near to Kathmandu city.
19. Bandipur

20. Lomanthang
Located in Mustang district, Lomanthang is one of the most popular destinations in Mustang districts. 700 years old palace made up of mud with 100 rooms and 5 stairs in Lomanthang is the main attraction here.

22. Chisapani
The second grace design in Asia which is asymmetric, single-towered and cable-stayed bridge across the Karnali River in Bardia district is located in Chisapani. Bardia National Park is adjacent to it. So, blackbuck, one-horned rhino, spotted deer can be spotted once you are nearby.
23. Kankrebihar
Located in Surkhet district, Kankrebihar is one of the open museums for heritage well known for ancient idols worshiped by Hindus and Buddhists alike. The place is reported to manifest vestiges of khas kingdom

24. Bhendetar
Located just 16 km from Dharan and elevated at 1430m, Bhendetar is one of the main destinations in eastern Nepal. The view tower of Bhendetar can offer the scenic views of Saptakoshi, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Faktanglung (Kumbakarna).

25. Barpak
The destination of Barpak in the Gorkha district offers Ghale culture, traditions, lifestyle. Snowcapped mountain ranges can also be seen from here.

30. Panchpokhari
Panchapokhari located in Sindhupalchok gets its name from the five lakes seated in the lap of Jugal Mountain. Elevated at 4200, the lake offers a bewitching view of the reflection of the sky and white clouds seen in the lake.
