Tourism Minister committed to construct Nijgadh airport
Kathmandu: Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai reiterated his commitment to constructing the proposed second Nijgadh International Airport in Bara under any circumstances.
Minister Bhattarai reiterated his commitment while addressing a meeting of Nepal Environment Journalist Groups in the capital Thursday during which a “Study Report concerning the effects of airport construction on the environment” was submitted.
“Government has studied all aspects of this project over a long period to construct the Nijgadh international airport. The government will not budge from its decision to accomplish this airport project. We will do our best to complete the construction works with minimum harm to the environment,” said Minister Bhattarai.
He further said that the Nijgadh airport will be constructed in such a way that it will be remembered by not only ten generations, but by a hundred generations to come.
