Scores of peaks of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Tilicho mountains are seen from this circuit trek while traversing towards the challenging and difficult Thorong La Pass.

The difficult pass continues to let you enter the Mustang region where you can have the chances to visit one of the Hindu temples –Muktinath and ask for the blessings.

Down in the Kali Gandaki valley, the striking and captivating village of Marpha with ancient monastery welcomes you via its narrow and cobbled streets. As you arrive at Poon Hill you can see over 20 higher mountains including those of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.

The acclimatization process is undergone before grappling with the difficult Thorong La Pass elevated at 5414 meters. On this trekking, you will have to walk at least 6-7 hours daily for which you need to have good stamina.

The beautiful landscape, villages such as Kagbeni, Jharkot, people and cultures you come across during this trekking undoubtedly makes this experience corresponding to that of a paradise.

The trekking in this circuit starts at Besi Sahar after taking a drive from Kathmandu for nearly 4-5 hours. Besi Sahar is around 180 km from Kathmandu.

Best time to trek

The months of October through November and mid-March to Mid-April are the best time to trek in this region.
