Thrilling adventure of Zipline in Nepal

A Zipline is an adventure which is lately gaining a lot of popularity among adventurer in Nepal. It is called by different names in different countries like a zip-line, zip wire, aerial runway in the UK, flying fox in Australia and New Zealand or foefie side in South Africa.
A Zipline consists of a pulley suspended on a stainless steel cable, mounted on a slope, where a person can travel from the top to the bottom of the inclined cable by holding on to or being attached to the freely moving pulley. Now it has become an adventure sport and is enjoyed by everybody.
There are two places in Nepal where you can experience the adrenaline rush of the zip-line.
Zipline in Pokhara
Zipline is called by the name of the Zip flyer in Pokhara. It is one of the most incredible ziplines in the world with a maximum incline of 56 degrees. It has a total length is 1800 m and a vertical drop of 610m making it the steepest zip-line in the world and still able to claim its title.

Due to its location in the heart of the Himalayas, the ultimate zip-line experience it provides along with spectacular views of Annapurna range and green hills is truly spectacular which can not be described in words. Abseiling down at the speed of more than 85 miles an hour makes your heart skip the beats. It is operated all over the year even in extreme conditions you can ride zip flyer easily. People above the age of 10 can ride zip-line.

Dhulikhel zip-line
Dhulikhel zip-line is the newly opened adventure sports in Dhulikhel which is one of the most beautiful places in Nepal. Due to its location, it offers the views of Spectacular mountains, exotic landscapes, and green forests as you slide down the rope.

Dhulikhel zipline is a thrilling experience that is 1100 meters in length and has a vertical drop of 73 meters. It is very safe for all adventure seekers of all levels (beginners to professionals) as it is guided by experts.

Speed during sliding down may be between 60-90 km per hour depending on the person’s weight and lasts around 2 minutes 20 seconds.
It is a 1.5-hour drive from Kathmandu.
The starting point is Thalke danda, Dhulikhel and the ending point is Khawa, Panchkhal.
Cost is around NRs 2500 for Normal, 3500 for Superman and 4500 for Tandem flying.
