Tourist bus service from Pokhara lakeside to Kathmandu starts

Kathmandu: Tourist bus service from Pokhara lakeside to Kathmandu has started.

Prithvi Highway transportation company Pvt Ltd started this tourist targeted bus service from Pokhara lakeside to Kathmandu from Monday to support the campaign of Visit Nepal 2020. The bus will leave from Balaju, Kathmandu daily at 7:30 a.m according to Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS).

Although there are around 200 day and night buses plying between Pokhara and Kathmandu, yet this is the first time that a tourist bus service has been started directly from Lakeside to Kathmandu said the private transportation President Yogendra Bahadur KC.

“The tourist bus service will directly benefit the tourists arriving in Nepal to visit Pokhara and will also promote the success of internal visit year and Nepal visit year 2020,” added KC.

The online ticket booking service for the tourist bus will soon be launched said the transportation officials.

The bus rate for each person has been fixed at 700 rupees. The transportation has been giving day and night bus services from Pokhara to various parts of the country.
