Kathmandu: Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) is organizing an international white water challenge on November 26-28, 2019 in Bhotekoshi in Sindhupalchowk RSS reported Wednesday.
Narayan Shrestha, Associate Treasurer of the NARA informed that this year’s Himalayan White Water Challenge program is to take place in the Bhotekoshi River in Sindhupalchowk.
The competition will be held in four genres, namely Kayak Extreme Slalom, Downriver Race, Corporate Rafting Race, and Water Cross. More than 400 rafters, guide, and audiences of adventurous tourism of 30 countries are participating in the competition, Shrestha added.
The outstanding performer will receive an award of 1,000 US dollars. Competitors from different countries are participating in the competition which has been taking place in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board since 2002.
NARA has emphasized wider publicity and promotion of Nepal’s adventurous rafting business to bring many tourists from across the globe in view of Nepal Visit year 2020 declared by the Nepal government.
