Chinese interest to invest in hotels in Nepal

Kathmandu: Chinese investors have shown increased interest in investing their money in hotels and restaurants in Nepal. This is evidenced by the Chinese investors’ commitment to establish at least 36 hotels and restaurants in Nepal, media reports published Thursday said.

According to the preliminary commitment of Chinese investors, the investment is meant for two star hotels in Pokhara and Kathmandu.

Of the total 39 foreign investment expected to be launched in the curernt fiscal year, the 36 are Chinese hotels and restraurants.

Similarly, the Japanese investment for 140 seated restaurants in Nepal with an estimated investment of nearly 25 million rupees is also likely to be launched.
