Kathmandu: The government of province no-2 has made a provision to provide an additional one month’s salary to its staff to go on a visit to internal tourist destinations to promote internal tourism.

The provincial government is preparing to bring into effect a domestic law that will effectively encourage the staff to retain themselves in the job and at the same time promote internal tourism, said Deepak Subedi, the chief secretary of province -2, according to RSS, Monday.

Subedi further said that such a policy for the government staff has been taken to allow the staff to explore the internal areas and disseminate the information related to internal tourism accordingly.

However, this facility will be conditional and the condition is to submit a complete report of the visited areas with detailed photographs. Then only an additional one month’s salary of the staff will be reimbursed, added Subedi.

According to the new staff provision, the staff going on a visit to internal areas can take one month’s salary as advance.

The staff should have worked in the province for at least six months before taking advantage of this facility.  The staff can visit any place within the province and any part of the country except the district where he/she is deputed to work.
