Public transport to carry VNY 2020 logo

Kathmandu: (RSS). All public transports are to carry the logo of Visit Nepal Year (VNY) according to an agreement reached between the tourism ministry and Nepal Transport National Federation Thursday.

The logo for a national campaign of VNY 2020 will be glued to every public transport with pictures of various temples, birds, and animals in it.

Such logos will be of four types and will be made according to the model of the vehicles. First, the pictures of Pashupatinath, Swyambhu, Lumbini, Elephant, Lophophorus and Himal will be used in the logos.

All such logos will be posted on every vehicle with effect from December 1, 2019, onwards. There are at least 300000 public vehicles including goods carrying trucks with black plates according to the transport federation.

Launching the campaign of using logos in the public transports, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai expressed his confidence that such coordination will support the successful culmination of the national campaign for NVY 2020.

Minister Bhattarai also said that around 100 volunteers will be mobilized including the use of jingles to spread awareness among the people in the public buses.
