Danish tourist dies after falling in the crevasse

A foreigner who came to Nepal to travel around the Khumbu area died after falling 200 meters deep in the crevasse. Andreas Beck Pedersen, a 34-year-old male from Denmark who was traveling to Khumbu region, died on the spot while returning from an Iceland peak climb on Friday, according to Narayan Prasad Chimoria, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Solukhumbu.

The dead body was sent to the Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu by Simrik Air’s helicopter for examination, according to the police. He along with his group of eleven had come to Nepal through Putloz in the Himalayan Pvt. Ltd.
