Ghumte fair started in Galkot
Baglung (RSS) – The second Ghumte fair has started in Galkot Wednesday to promote the tourism area where the old headquarter of Baglung is located.
According to the Ghumte Tourism Development Committee, the festival was organized to promote the religious, historical and tourist areas of Galkot. The festival, which started on Wednesday, will last until November 27.
There are many tourist destinations in Galkot, Kotmaidan, Niluwa, Ramchedhunga, Pandavkhani, and also the Galkot Durbar during the time of the Chaubise kingdoms.
The festival aims to develop a model of development which will connect all these areas by road and will attract many tourists.
Former Deputy Prime Minister Chitra Bahadur KC inaugurated the second Galkot fair which began on Wednesday. The festival was held here for the first time in 2006.
