Venturing to trek through Arun valley

Arun valley is teeming with a diversity of enchanting flora and fauna. Hence the Arun valley trek is blessed with all charming sights and natural wonders along with striking exotic indigenous cultures to observe.

The fascinating Arun valley is located between the world’s highest mountain Mt Everest (8848m) and Makalu (8463m). The awful presence of Rai and Sherpa cultural settlements along this amazingly pleasing trekking trail make this valley a magnificent one and worth visiting for the visitors.

The trek begins after taking a flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar. Tumlingtar is the starting point of the trek to Arun valley. Arun valley trek trail passes through dense forest and leads up to the Sherpa and Rai settlement.

Popular pond known as Salpa Pokhari is one of the main touristic spots along this valley trek. A mammoth annual fair is held here in October and pilgrims from all over the country attend.

The other main attractive features of this trail include panoramic glimpses of Chamlang (7321m) and Makalu (8463m) from the top of Salpa Bhanjyang. The trek also passes through Makalu Barun Conservation Area and passes along the Hinku valley to get to Sagarmatha National Park. 

Khumbu region, Namche bazaar, temples, and monasteries are other inseparable features of this trek. The snowcapped Maklu, Baruntse, Mt Lhotse, Mt Nuptse, Mt. Amadablam, Mt Thamserku along with 650 species of birds and 800 species of butterflies make this trek spectacular and exotic for any visitors and nature lovers.
