Bhote Koshi International River Rafting Competition commences

Kathmandu: The 18th Himalayan White Water Challenge-2019, an international river rafting competition, has commenced in the Bhote Koshi River in Sindhulchowk district from Tuesday.
The river rafting competition that commenced on November 26 will conclude on November 28, 2019, which is being organized by the Nepal Association of Rafting Agents (NARA) with a mission to promote the tourism sector. The river rafting competition includes rafting and kayaking.
NARA president Ganga Prasad Nepal said that as in the previous years, NARA was going to organize the kayak and corporate rafting race under the Challenge this year.
He further added that Bhote Koshi River was chosen as the venue for the competition because of the geographical proximity, the condition of the river and other technical reasons. Around 400 sportspersons from within inland and abroad are taking part in the competition.
