Nepal wins Malaysian award- ‘Country of the Year 2019′

Kathmandu: Nepal has won the Malaysian award, “Country of the year 2019” for being recognized as Asia’s best nation for mountaineering adventures, according to a report published by Republica Tuesday. The Malaysian award was given to Nepal at a special ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur on November 22, 2019.

The Award was received by Nepal’s ambassador to Malaysia, Uday Raj Panday from Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Cultures of Malaysia YB Muhammad Bakhtar bin Wan Chik.

Nepal was adjudged the best for mountaineering adventures after various researches and surveys were carried out on Asian countries from among the five shortlisted Asian countries under the category of “Asia’s Best Nation for Mountaineering Adventures.”
