Kathmandu: Incessant snowfall in the hilly regions of Nepal has crippled normal life across the whole nation within the last few days.
The normal life of far western regions of Mugu, Humla, Jumpa and Dolpa, Kalikot districts are mostly affected by the snowfall.
Snowfall in Jumla has disrupted flights to and from Jumla too.
According to the locals due to the sudden surge of cold weather, the people are not able to come out of their houses to perform their daily field works.
The local farmers are the only people who seem to be happy to see the snowfall as they think that the timely precipitation will boost up their crop production.
Owing to snowfall the trekking and peak climbing expeditions have also been adversely affected according to the tourism entrepreneurs.
The chill has affected older people and children alike these days. So, schools in the hilly areas have been closed down for a few days. The people across the country have also been warned to take precautionary measures against snowfall and its adverse effects.
