Glimpses of various discounts for tourists in Visit Nepal 2020

Kathmandu: On the eve of New Year and Visit Nepal 2020, most of the leading agencies affiliated with the tourism sector are offering special discounts on their services.

Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) in this context has called upon its affiliated members to offer a 30% discount in their services during Visit Nepal 2020. HAN’s first Vice-chairperson Binayak Shah has directed all member hotels to provide quality services to the guests in the year 2020.

HAN has as many as 20,00,0 hotels under its umbrella with at least 54000 beds. It can accommodate at least 2.5 million tourists in 2020. Similarly, Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) has declared a discount of 20% in services for the tourists in 2020.

TAAN Chairman Khum Bahadur Subedi has called upon all concerned tourism sector stakeholders to coordinate well to celebrate the Nepal Visit Year 2020 as a festival as declared by the government.

Likewise, the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) has also declared to offer a 10% discount throughout the year of Visit Nepal 2020. NATTA Chair C.N Pandey said the 10% discount is being offered on every tour package.

Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) chair Ganga Prasad Nepal said that a 15% discount has been offered on services for the tourists throughout the year 2020. Similarly, Nepal Mountaineering Association has also arranged for special discounts for the tourists.

Likewise, Homestay Association chair Keshab Badal said that a 20% discount on its services has been offered to the tourists throughout the year 2020. There are at least 600 homestays across the country under the umbrella of the Homestay Association.

Pacific Asia Travels Association Nepal Chapter (PATA) which has been contributing to the Nepal tourism sector at the international level is going to organize various programs to target the Visit Nepal 2020.

PATA Nepal is organizing Nepal India China Expo in February 2020 and the 4rth edition of Himalayan Travel mart. PATA chair Bibhuti Chand Thakuri said that priority will be given to the production of skilled human resources and accessibility to the market.

Thamel Tourism Development Council is also organizing various programs throughout the visit year 2020 in coordination with at least 40 associated members (RSS).
