NEFIN to support Visit Nepal 2020

Kathmandu: The umbrella organization of 59 indigenous groups in Nepal known as Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) and its allies Sunday collectively asserted to participate in the inaugural ceremony of Visit Nepal Year (VNY) 2020 at Dasharath Stadium on Wednesday.

NEFIN represented by 59 indigenous associations expressed their commitment to proactively bolster the government’s declared campaign -Visit Nepal 2020- which is starting from January 1, 2020.

This was stated in a statement issued by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Bhattarai after holding a formal meeting with office-bearers of the federation at the ministry on Sunday.

Jagat Baram, chairman of the NEFIN, in a meeting held with the government, assured that all the indigenous groups affiliated with NEFIN would support and promote Visit Nepal 2020 programs and activities by showcasing their ethnic cultural glimpses on the day of the inauguration in Kathmandu.
