Visit Nepal 2020 kicks off from today

Kathmandu: Nepal government’s much-publicized national campaign “Visit Nepal 2020” is going to kick off from Wednesday (January 1, 2019) amidst a grand inaugural ceremony going to start at Rangashala auditorium within a few hours from now onwards.

The grand inaugural ceremony will be inaugurated by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari.  Prime Minister K.P Oli will address the ceremony while Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai will deliver the opening speech.

The inaugural ceremony will also make public the Visit Nepal 2020 song and logo of “Yeti mascot” for the year 2020. A plethora of cultural glimpses will be exhibited by various organizations. These cultural showcasing, musical band, and parade will be the main show of the special five-hour long ceremony which will begin in the afternoon.

Visit Nepal 2020 is aimed at bringing about 2 million tourists in the country. It seems to be a feasible aim to be fulfilled as 1.2 million tourists have already visited Nepal in the last year 2018.

Various representatives of China, India, Myanmar, Jamaica, Bhutan, Cambodia and Qatar have already arrived in Kathmandu to participate in this grand inaugural ceremony today.

The media persons of South Asia, Middle East Europe representing 34 media houses have also arrived in the capital to cover this grand ceremony.
