High Mountain Rescue Training kicks off

Kathmandu: Nepal Mountaineering Association and Nepal Mountaineering Instructors Association have jointly initiated a three-week-long “High Mountain Rescue Training from 31 December 2019 to 19th January 2020 in Kathmandu and Langtang valley.
The team of participants, training instructors and coordinator have left for Langtang valley from Kathmandu on Sunday after completing a weeklong training in Kathmandu for 15 mountain guides. In Langtang valley, the same training will be delivered to the same 15 participants in climatic conditions which may go as cold as -12 degrees.
According to the organizers of the High Mountain Rescue Training, Narendra Shahi is the chief instructor and Tashi Sherpa and Pemba Rita Sherpa are the instructors, while Lam Babu Sherpa is the coordinator of the training.
