Eight Indian tourists die of suffocation in Daman

Kathmandu: At least eight Indian tourists who had come from Kerala and stayed at Daman’s Everest Panorama Resort, Makawanpur district in Nepal have been found dead due to suffocation, according to preliminary reports.
On Tuesday morning, the Panorama resort staff had found all 8 Indian tourists unconscious and reported to the local police and then all unconscious Indians were airlifted to Kathmandu for medical aid.
According to the police report, a group of 15 Indian tourists from Kerala on their way back to Kerala from Pokhara had booked four rooms at the Daman located Panorama resort for the night stays on Monday night. The eight Indians had slept in one room with the Gas heater on in the night. So, they might have died of suffocation.
Everest Panorama Resort’s contact office in Kathmandu also confirmed the death of two Indian family members comprising of eight members.
The post mortem of the dead bodies of Indian tourists is awaited according to police authorities.
