Himalaya Airlines starts flight to Chongqing
Kathmandu: Himalaya Airlines–one of the private airlines of Nepal- has started direct flights to the Chinese province of Chongqing from Thursday.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Bhattarai inaugurated the Himalaya Airline’s direct flight services in the presence of Chinese ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi, tourism secretary Kedar Bahadur Adhikari, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Director General Rajan Pokharel
The Himalayan airlines will operate Airbus A 320 for the flight in between Tribhuvan International Airport and Chongqing province. The flight will be operated at least three times a week, on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
With this flight, the Himalaya Airlines will have flights to five destinations of China including Beijing, Changsha, Ghuyang and Shenzhen and is expected to provide good services for business and leisure travelers.
Chinese ambassador Yanqi appreciated Himalaya Airline’s efforts to expand its flights to various Chinese provinces. She added that such efforts will further connect the people and cultures of both countries.
Himalaya airlines also plan to make flights to Lhasa. It has a fleet of three Airbus A 320 aircraft and operates flights to Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dammam, Kualalumpur and Dhaka too.
