Two dead bodies of missing trekkers found from Gosainkunda

Kathmandu: Two dead bodies of missing trekkers on the way to Gosainkunda have been found on Monday. The two persons had gone missing from Nuwakot’s Dupcheswor Rural Municipality -1 Ghaynagphedi on 17 January, while heading for Gosainkunda.

The two dead bodies have been identified to be Wangel Tamang (17) of Sindhualchowk, Helambu and Japan Tamang (20) of Kathmandu Jorpati who had gone missing in and around Gosainkunda region said rural municipality chair Yobindra Singh Tamang.

The rescue operation launched under the leading role of expert guide Lal Bahadur Tamang was able to locate the bodies of the missing persons.
The dead bodies have been airlifted to Kathmandu for post mortem according to Chief District Officer Abi Narayan Kafle (RSS).
