High alertness at Rasuwagadhi checkpoint

Rasuwa: High alertness has been maintained at Rasuwagadhi checkpoint to control the risk of the corona virus, originated from neighboring country China.

A meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee held on Wednesday decided to make a ‘help desk’, established in Rasuwagadhi, well-equipped in order to control the risk of corona virus from the people visiting Nepal and China via northern checkpoint, said Assistant Chief District Officer, Sapana Kumari Bhattarai.

The meeting also decided to run an awareness program at the checkpoint, set up a separate ICU at District Hospital if anyone develops symptoms of the disease, and ensure the arrangement of modern equipment immediately for the test.

A sub-committee has already been formed under the coordination of Chief Administrative Officer of Gosainkunda rural municipality, comprising Assistant Chief District Officer, Bhattarai, public health officer Shristi Nepal and medical officer at the District Hospital, Dr. Anil Kharel, to forward an action plan to control the disease.
