Pokhara to host Paragliding World Cup

Kaski: Paragliding World Cup Asian Tours and Nepal Open Paragliding Championship’s 19th edition of Paragliding World Cup is to kick off in Pokhara from 23 February to 29 February 2020.

The world cup is to be organized by Nepal Air Sports Association (NAA) with the support of Nepal Paragliding, Handgliding Association, and Nepal Paragliding Pilots’ Club.

At least 125 drivers of 30 countries will be participating in the Paragliding World Cup. The participating countries include Nepal, China, India, Japan, Korea, USA, UK, Switzerland, France, Germany, Australia, Russia, Iran, Vietnam, Chinese Taipai and Indonesia. All preparations for the World Cup have been completed including submission of participants’ names for the event.

Nepal will be represented by 12 players in this championship whose earned points and ranking in this world cup will enable them to be enlisted for 2021 World Cup Super Final. The great event will be another means of promoting Nepal Visit 2020 according to the organizers of the event.
