Nepal receives medical aid to battle against COVID-19

Kathmandu: Chinese government through the Chinese embassy in Kathmandu on Sunday handed over essential medical aid to Nepal to battle against COVID-19.

The  Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Hou Yanqi gave away the medical aid to Nepal during a program held in Kathmandu. Minister for Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal while receiving the aid on behalf of the Nepal government extended his gratitude to the Chinese government for the aid provided to Nepal during the critical hours.

The medical aid including kits, portable ventilators, thermometers, personal protective equipment, and surgical masks was handed over to the Nepal government jointly by the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, Sichuan Province and Alibaba Foundation, Jack Ma Foundation, China CAMC Engineering Company Ltd., and Sichuan Huashi Group Company Ltd.

Chinese Ambassador Yanqui on the occasion also expressed her happiness to extend support to the Nepali people and government in their fight against COVID-19.
