14-days not sufficent for quarantine to curb COVID-19 says MoHP
Kathmandu: Fourteen day quarantine time is not sufficient to curb the spread of COVID-19 according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
The MoHP during a press meet held in Kathmandu on Saturday said that it is imperative to maintain social distancing for more than two weeks as 14-day quarantine is not going to be enough for the prevention of the deadly virus.
Earlier, the standard period for quarantine was fixed for 14 days. The MOHP also shared that since the country has entered into the second phase of Coronavirus infection, everyone should abide by the government’s lockdown orders to prevent the spread of this lethal pathogen.
