Kathmandu: As the entire world continues to remain in the grip of invisible virus the total global death toll due to this deadly virus has reached 59,131 on Saturday and the total people infected surges to 1,097,909 across the world.
Italy has the highest recorded death toll of 14,681 people, while Spain has the second-highest death toll of 11,198 people and the US has the third-highest death toll of 7,391 due to this deadly virus according to John Hopkins University.
Similarly, the death toll in France has gone up to 6,507 while in China the number of deaths is 3322.
The COVID-19 infection rate is the highest in the US with its infected people number surging to 275,586 and the infected number of people in Italy reaching a level of 119,827 as of today.
Similarly, the infected number of people in Spain has gone up to 119,199, in China 76,571 in France 65,202.
In South Asia, India has a recorded death toll of 72, Pakistan 40, Bangladesh 6 while Nepal has recorded confirmed cases of 6 people of which one person who tested positive for virus has recovered from it.
A total of 225,796 people have recovered from this lethal disease globally with a recorded recovery of 76,571 in China, 30,513 in Spain, 19,758 in Italy.
