COVID-19 infected cases soars to 12 in Nepal
Kathmandu: The COVID-19 infected cases have gone up to 12 in Nepal after three Indian nationals stranded in Birgunj tested positive for the deadly virus on Saturday according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
The samples of swabs collected from the suspected Indian nationals had tested positive at Hetauda lab which was again confirmed by the Kathmandu based National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL).
These two virus-infected Indians had come to Nepal to attend a Muslim religious congregation in Saptahari and had not returned to India since then. They are isolated at Narayani Hospital since Friday.
Meanwhile, the concerned authorities are reported to be actively engaged in tracing those people who have come in contact with these two virus-infected Indian nationals.
