Nepal’s COVID-19 positive cases spike to 14
Kathmandu: Nepal sees the number of COVID-19 soaring to 14 on Monday after a 19 years old youth from Rautahat and a 65 years old woman from Kailali, Lamki-Chuha tested positive for the deadly contagion according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The elderly woman had come to Lamki after the imposition of lockdown in the country. She used to run a tea stall in a tavern in Birgunj, while the youth from Rauthat was placed on quarantine. The virus infected women has been placed in isolation at Dhangadi based Seti Hospital.
Government sources said that 5291 persons across the country have been tested for Coronavirus, and 103 are placed in isolation while 7191 people are in quarantine.
