Coronavirus cases in Nepal spike to 16 after 2 more cases detected
Kathmandu: The number of Coronavirus cases in Nepal has gone up to 16 as of Tuesday after two members of a family staying in the Sun City Apartment of Kathmandu tested positive for the virus according to Ministry of Health and Population.
The family had come to Kathmandu from the UK 28 days ago and was recently isolated at Patan hospital under suspicion of being infected with COVID-19.
It is said that the result of the swab test for another member of the same family is awaited. With these confirmed cases of the deadly virus in the country, the virus is likely to spread more despite the government’s imposition of lockdown.
