Sushil Ghimire appointed as executive chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation

Kathmandu: Nepal government has appointed Sushil Ghimire as the executive chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).

A meeting of Council of Ministers on Tuesday appointed former tourism secretary Ghimire to the post of executive chairman of NAC for a term of four years.

Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai had formed a reformatory committee headed by Ghirmire to improve the NAC and now Ghimire himself has been entrusted with the sole responsibility of executive chairman.

The proposal to appoint Ghimire as NAC chairman had already been recommended to the Council of Ministers. However, he was appointed to the post on Tuesday only.

Earlier, Madan Kharel of Jhapa was appointed to the same post, who had resigned from his post before his tenure expired.
