Two more dead bodies found in Annapurna trail
Kathmandu: Locals have traced two more dead bodies of those gone missing in the avalanche occurred in Annapurna region. Four Korean and three Nepalis had gone missing since January 17 early this year.
The dead bodies were found on the bank of Modi River near the Hinku Cave at the altitude of 3,200 from Annapurna rural municipality-11 on Saturday evening.
The avalanche had occurred around the Hinku Cave. After the locals found the lifeless bodies, police have initiated the process to collect these corpses, said spokesperson at District Police Office, DSP Raj Kumar KC.
A team led by police inspector had already reached the incident site and it was informed that the dead bodies were of Korean though not yet confirmed. Among three Nepali trekkers, two were already found dead.
