US surpasses one million cases of Coronavirus and over 59,000 deaths
Kathmandu:US surpassed one million cases of Coronavirus and reported over 59,000 deaths while 216,857 died, and 3,111,730 are infected globally with the deadly virus, though 925,442 as of Wednesday recovered from this epidemic around the world according to John Hopkins University.
Europe
Europe is worst affected by the infection of the virus as Italy reported 27,359 deaths, Spain 23,822, France 23,660, UK 21,678, Belgium 7,331, Netherland 4,566, Switzerland 1,699 and Sweden 2,355 deaths due to the COVID-19. The US continues to record the highest infected cases followed by Spain and Italy.
Asia
In Asia, China recorded 4,512 deaths, Japan 385, Russia 867 and South Korea 244 due to this pathogen. Malaysia reported 100 deaths, Philippines 530, Indonesia 773, and Singapore 14 people.
SAARC Region
In the SAARC region India reported 1,008,Pakistan 312, Bangladesh 155 deaths while Srilanka recorded 7 deaths due to this lethal disease. Nepal recorded 54 confirmed cases of deadly contagion while 16 cases have been cured. Maldives recorded 250 positive cases of which 17 cases recovered and Bhutan reported 7 positive cases of which 5 persons have recovered.
Africa
In Africa, Algeria reported 437 deaths and South Africa 93 while Egypt recorded 369 deaths due the deadly virus.
Arab countries
Saudi Arabia reported 152 deaths, Qatar-10, UAE-89, and Kuwait 23 while Bahrain reported 8 deaths due to the COVID-19.
