57,189 people have undergone COVID-19 tests in Nepal

Kathmandu: At least 57,189 persons in Nepal have undergone COVID-19 tests until Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

During a regular press briefing, the Ministry of Health and Population spokesperson Bikash Devkota divulged the figure and facts about the nationwide coronavirus tests.

Dr. devkota said, 11,524 have undergone tests through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and 45,665 through Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT).

Around 22,901 suspected coronavirus patients are quarantined in various parts of the country and 87 patients are isolated while 310 so far are in red zone. Nepal now has confirmed 57 cases of Coronavirus of which 16 cases have already been cured.
