Qatar airways flown to France with 309 passengers of 54 countries
Kathmandu: A special chartered Qatar Airways aircraft has flown to France from Tribhuvan International Airport Saturday with 309 passengers of 54 countries stranded in Nepal due to shutdown imposed to contain COVID-19.
The French Embassy in Nepal chartered the Qatar Airway flight which is expected to reach Paris via Doha in Qatar, according to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
The tourist passengers on board included nations from South Africa, Israel, USA and Canada including few Europeans.
This was the 11th flight of Qatar Airways conducted during the shutdown phase in Nepal.
Both domestic as well as international flights are suspended until May 15 to prevent spread of global Coronavrus pandemic.
