Coronvirus cases spike to 60 in Nepal

Kathmandu: The total number of Coronavirus infected cases in Nepal has jumped to 60 on Sunday.

Narayani Hospital sources said, a 36 years old male from Birgunj Metropolitan ward no 3, Chapkaiya tested positive for COVID-19.

The infected person has been hospitalized at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj for medical isolation.

With this the number of COVID-19 cases in Nepal has soared to 60 and 16 of such case have been cured. Now there are 48 active cases of Coronavirus. No fatalities have been reported so far.

The government is mulling over easing the model of shutdown by splitting the country region into red, yellow and green zones.
