Kathmandu:World wide virus cases spike to 3.5 million & 1.1 million recovery & over 247,000 deaths on Monday amidst most of the deadly virus inflicted countries starting to re-open their economies by letting their people to get access to beaches, shopping centers and fun parks.
Europe
The situation in Europe still seems to be horrific as COVID-19 continues to claim lives where Italy recorded 28,884 deaths followed by UK’s 28,446 death toll, then Spain reporting 25, 264 deaths and France recorded 24,864 deaths with the deadly virus so far. The US reported over 68,000 deaths along with 1.1 million infections according to Johns Hopkins University.
Asia
In Asia, China recorded 4,512 deaths, Japan 487, Russia 1,280 and South Korea 252, Malaysia reported 105 deaths, Philippines 607, Indonesia 845, and Singapore 18 deaths from COVID-19.
SAARC
In the SAARC region India reported 1,391 deaths,Pakistan 457, Bangladesh 177 deaths while Srilanka recorded 7 deaths due to this lethal disease. Nepal recorded 75 confirmed cases of deadly contagion of which 16 cases have been cured. Maldives recorded 1 death and 519 positive cases of which 18 cases recovered and Bhutan reported 7 positive cases of which 5 persons have recovered.
Africa
In Africa, South Africa reported 131 deaths, and Egypt recorded 429 deaths, while Algeria recorded 429 deaths from the deadly virus.
Arab countries
UAE reported 126 deaths, Qatar-12, and Kuwait 38, while Bahrain reported 8 and Saudi Arab 184 deaths due to the COVID-19.
