Inter-district entry prohibited

Kathmandu: The Home Ministry has annulled the inter-district travel pass issued earlier, as part of its efforts to impose strict measures against unnecessary mobility of people.

Ministry Spokesperson Kedarnath Sharma said that the new policy is being implemented as people were travelling from one district to another district unnecessarily, which also led to a rush of travelers into Kathmandu valley.

The policy will come into effect from Thursday. The decision however does not apply for the three districts in Kathmandu valley. Henceforth, the permission of the concerned district would be required to enter the district.

Accordingly, the permission of Home Ministry is essential to come to Kathmandu valley. The new decision also comes into effect in wake of the sudden rise in the number of people infected by Corona Virus in the country.
