Global COVID-19 deaths spike to 301,937, & 4.4 million cases with 1.7 million recoveries

Kathmandu:Global COVID-19 deaths has spiked to 301,937, & 4.4 million cases confirmed with 1.7 recoveries as on Friday.

The US continues to top the death toll among the countries while Russia reported the second highest virus infection rate in the world according to Johns Hopkins University.

The summary of virus infection and deaths of major countries are:

US infected cases -1.4 million, deaths-85,807

UK infected cases -234,439, deaths-33,693

Italy infected cases -223,096, deaths-31,368

Spain infected cases -229,540, deaths-229,540

France infected cases -178,994, deaths-27,428

Russia infected cases- 252,245, deaths-2,305

Germany infected cases -174,478, deaths-7,884

China infected cases -84,025, deaths -4,637
