First COVID-19 patient dies in Nepal & confirmed cases soar to 281
Kathmandu: The first COVID-19 patient died in Nepal & confirmed cases soared to 281 on Sunday according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The officials said a 29 years old female from Sindhupalchowk died of the deadly virus infection after delivering a baby at Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu. She died while being shifted to Dhulikhel hospital for further medical treatment.
With this the total number of confirmed cases of virus has gone up to 281 while 36 such cases have been cured. This is the first recorded death due to the deadly virus in Nepal.
