Nepal Coronavirus tally climbs to 772 with 90 cases
Kathmandu: Nepal reported a total 90 infected cases which is said to be the highest virus cases recorded in a single day in the country since the outbreak of the deadly virus that amounted to total 772 confirmed cases of the virus.
Information to this was shared by the Ministry of Health and Population in a regular press conference on Tuesday. In the press conference, Ministry Spokesperson Dr Bikas Devkota said ninety persons from 15 districts tested positive to COVID-19 taking the tally to 772.
Yesterday, 79 persons were confirmed positive to Corona Virus. According to the latest updates, two each from Mahottari and Jumla, three from Bara, 22 from Rautahat, five in Siraha, one in Dhanusha, eight in Banke, two each in Arghakhanchi, Gulmi and Syangja, one each in Rupandehi, Kailali and Achham, 12 Surkhet, 26 in Kapilvastu tested positive.
The Spokesperson further said the test was conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory, Teku; Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj; Lumbini Hospital, Rupandehi; Seti Hospital, Dhangadhi; Laboratory at Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences; and Surkhet Hospital.
Meanwhile, the number of those discharged with recovery has reached 155. Among them, 124 are men and 31 women. Forty -three persons from Parsa were discharged from Narayani Hospital on Tuesday alone, Spokesperson Adhikari said, adding that those to get recovery belonged to the age group from 7 to 53 years.
Similarly, the number of people tested via PCR method has reached 54,697 while via RDT reached 97,967.
