Nepal virus cases spike to 1212 with additional 170 new cases

Kathmandu: Nepal’s COVID-19 have escalated to as many as 1212 with additional 170 new cases detected on Friday, according to Ministry of Health and Population.

The officials said 84 new cases of Covid-19 were reported from the Teku-based National Public Health Laboratory, while 56 new cases were reported from Rautahat.

Likewise, 27 new cases of Coronavirus were reported from Biratnagar while 5 new cases were detected at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences  and Lalitpur recorded one new case of coronavirus.

Similarly, Birgunj recorded 9 new cases while Gandaki Hospital Lab recorded one new case.

Sarlahi district reported 4 new cases while Rupandehi recorded 16 new cases and Rapti reported 11 new cases of Covid-19. Nepal so far has reported 6 deaths due to the deadly virus. A total of 187 people have returned home after recovery from the epidemic.
